Stampin' Up! Workshop November 2, 2008

My good friend Danielle hosted a workshop for me at her home. We had 7 girls there in total, 4 of which were "newbies" to Stampin' Up! I featured the new "in colors" on all the cards and tried to keep astray from "traditional" Christmas colors as much as possible. It was a lot of fun and some hard work with this card:

This one took everyone ALMOST 2 hours to complete! Whoops! Kind of underestimated the difficulty of that! hehheheh The wider strips and the snow flakes are embossed with iridescent ice as well as the words "let it" and the "snow" underneath the letters. I used Stickles on the coal, carrot nose and holly. Blender pens were used for the S N and W as well as the "snow" and Mr. Snowman's hat. Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze and Pacifc Point were the colors used. "Big On Christmas" is the set used for this stamp.

I designed the next card with simplicity and "mass production" in mind. I wanted to be sure to offer a card that might inspire my attendees to make serveral in repeat or to purchase the products to send out their own Christmas cards. Colors, of course, could always be adjusted to suit someone's preference.

"Snow Swirled" stamp set was used here. Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango were the in colors used. I used my glitter gel pen to accent the "Seasons Greetings" and the Christmas tree.

This next card was the favorite of the workshop! I must say it was my favorite too! It's the joy fold card, like the birthday one we did two months back, but with Christmas theme this time!

Bella Rose is the designer series paper used. Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip (the only non-in color used), Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red were used for the colors. The stamp set is "Season of Joy", my FAVORITE of the Christmas stamps from the fall/winter catalog this year. Glitter gel pen was used again as accents on the card. The best part about this card: it looks so difficult but is sooooo easy to put together! You can find instructions here on Splitcoaststampers.com.

Thanks again for another fun workshop ladies! Hope to see you and some more newbies at the next one! Thanks for lookin'!
