Exploding Box

I made this box as an additional project at the Hearts and Thank You's class. I thought this box was a perfect little scrapbooking gift to give to anyone, male or female. I featured the Parisian Summer DS paper and used Bravo Burgundy, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand and a little Mellow Moss (for the leaves and ribbon on the top of the box). I featured a sneak peek stamp set from the Spring/Summer 09 catalog, Petal Pizzazz. I really love how it turned out since I was so excited to make it!

Box....exploded!!!

Hearts and Thank You's January 10th class

For January's Stampin' Up! workshop, we made Valentine's Day cards and Thank You cards. For the Valentine's Day cards, I featured the Love You Much bundle which had the Love You Much stamp set, Candy Lane paper and the Heart to Heart punch.

On this card, I featured Pink Pirouette in color 09, Riding Hood Red in color 09, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.
The card features a pull out card rather than your traditional opening card.

The next love card features the same stamp set but with Basic Black, Whisper White, Rose Red and Pink Pirouette in color 09. I also used the designer series papers in Rose Red and Pink Pirouette. The squares were punched with the brads and then adhered to the card so that the brads don't show through the inside of the card. All the items on top of the squares are popped.

Fight of the Butterfly was one of my favorite stamp sets in the Fall/Winter 08 catalog sampler of which was on sale when purchased December through the end of the Fall/Winter catalog. So I decided to feature it! It is a very versatile set to have in my collection. I used the Raspberry Tart paper that was a sneak peek for the catalog transition to the Spring/Summer 09 catalog. Kiwi Kiss, Cameo Coral and Rose Red were the colors used on both Thank You cards. I loved the layers on this card. Crystal Effects was used on the butterfly's body to give it a live effect.

I decided to challenge myself on this card by using the Fresh Cut Notes from Stampin' Up! They were a challenge to work with, but I like how this card turned out.

Oh, forgot to mention I held this class "open house" style. I liked the way it worked for my schedule and everyone who attended. By overwhelming demand, I will be featuring future classes this way as much as possible :D Thanks for lookin'!
