Halloween and Harvest Cards

These are the cards I made for my Halloween and Harvest cards workshop. Please excuse the terrible photographing!

This card features the Haunting Hill Stampin' Wheel and the Autumn Harvest stamp set. I cased this card from a sample in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday 2009 mini catalog. Colors used are Whisper White, Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie.

This fun "matchbook" fold holds a fun treat inside. Stamp sets used are Grateful Greetings from the holiday mini catalog, and Batty for You. I used the Cast a Spell DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White, Old Olive and Perfect Plum coordinating colors.

This card was my favorite! I copied it straight from this gal-didn't even change it. I saw this card and fell in love! Stamp sets featured are Grateful Greetings and Falling Leaves as well as the Bright Blessings Wheel. Rich Razzleberry (in color 2009-10), Soft Suade (in color 2009-10), Very Vanilla and Pale Plum were the colors featured here.

The last card of the night was this fun harvest card. It featured the Autumn Harvest and Grateful Greetings stamp sets. Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suade and Dusty Durango (in color 2009-10) were the colors used. I also featured the Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suade Patterned DSP's.

Hope you liked the cards. Happy Stampin' Up!

Christmas in August

This month we got started on Christmas cards early! I don't know about you but usually Christmas sneaks up so fast, I rarely have time to make cards. So I figured with a head start, I might actually get some out this year! I focused on making most of the cards very simple, very quick to replicate. Except this one...which turned out to be the favorite of the night!

This card features my favorite Level 3 Hostess stamp set, The More the Merrier. It also features the Holiday Lounge DSP with coordinating colors Taken with Teal, Ruby Red, Basic Gray and Sahara Sand. The snowmen are stamped on watercolor paper and then watercolored accents were added. The really fun part is the snow!

Getting this effect is super easy! Just mix equal amounts of flour and water, put the mixture on the paper, heat from underneath with a heat gun until it turns to a matte finish, then heat from above for a puffed finish! So cool! Just be careful not to burn your snow! I added dazzling diamonds for the glitter effect.
I also added dazzling diamonds to the snowflake, which is punched using the Jumbo Snowflake punch.

Now, onto the cards that are very easily replicated! The DSP is Merry Moments. I used the Snow Swirled stamp set which matches the DSP. Colors used are Garden Green, Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.

This card features two dropping ornaments in the Merry Moments DSP. The stamp set used is from Stampin' Up!'s "under $10" and it is called Merriment. I cuttlebug-ed the Old Olive paper and distressed it with gold ink. Naturals White and Real Red are the backdrop of this very simple card.
This card features the same DSP and Merriment stamp set. The Poinsetta flowers are made from the 5 Petal Flower Punch. I simply layered Garden Green and Old Olive to create the flowers leaves. The centers use the red mini beads from the bead duo set and the pop up glue dots. Very Vanilla hodgepodge hardware frames out the Merry & Bright sentiment.

Here's a close-up of the flowers.

New Catalog Kickoff!

These were the cards made to kickoff the new catalog! I decided for this workshop to feature the Chit Chat Rub-ons.

Baby Boy and Girl cards using the Animal Stories Stamp Set.

Fun with Chipboard and Glitter.

The fun in this card lies in the Pink Flamingo DSP.

Brocade Basics with the fun new Rich Razzleberry In Color.

Garland for Reagan

This is a garland I made for my friend's baby. Her name is Reagan and she was born on September 25, 2008. I really like the way this garland turned out! Reagan's room is decorated with ladybugs and is pink, red, white and black. So I used Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black for her garland. The lady bug on the first panel is from the hostess set Darling Dots in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog. The swirls are all from an acrylic stamp set I bought from Joann's. The last panel I ran through the computer and put all of Reagan's birth stats on it. The letters are chipboard from Stampin' Up! It's retired, but it was from the Spring/Summer 2008 catalog and is called On Board Simon Lower.

Here's a close up of the panels.

Sunshine Garden 6x6 pages

This was what I planned on doing for June's workshop. The Sunshine Garden Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up! sold out the first day the last chance list was updated! Bummer! No more workshop for June now. I'll let all the last chance items go and make room for the new catalog! Wooohooo!!! I loved this kit though...sad to see it go.

This last page is for journaling. The Whisper White isn't adhered yet so that I can run it through the computer. :D

Happy Father's Day

Here is a card we made for Father's Day. I wanted something quick and simple because we also did the Hoppy Memories scrap night (below). I knew this card couldn't take a lot of time or my ladies would be beat! I featured the To the Nines DSP and Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Kraft colors. The stamp is from the Eight Great Greetings stamp set in the March to June 2009 Mini Catalog. It's a very versatile stamp set!

Hoppy Memories Scrappin'

Here are 20-6x6 inch page layouts that we made using the Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up! I'm so sad to see this kit go but I can't wait to see what new ones will be offered in the new catalog! This kit is so fun and I can't wait to get my pictures in these layouts!
