Birthdays Workshop 2/28/2009

For my February workshop, I decided to do another all birthday cards class. This time, I chose to do one adult card, one little girl card, one little boy card and one gift card tin. Who hasn't at some point or another needed all four of these birthday cards or holder huh?!? I have...which is kind of the ((selfish)) reason why I did this class! heheheh

My FAVORITE card, I won't even save for last...:

The Little Girl card is a lady bug on the front and her wings open up to reveal "Happy Birthday to you!" See!?!??
SO FUN HUH?!? I get giddy looking at it. Oh and of course you can open the inside and write your message (but who cares about that when you can play with the message under the wings! LOL) The inside of the card says "Just flying over to say hope your birthday is HAPPY in every possible way!"

The Adult Card: I actually got the inspiration for this card from a page in the Pottery Barn
catalog. It was a beautiful floral bedspread with all these colors in it! I used the "Petal Pizazz" stamp set.

The Little Boy card: This was actually inspired from someone's card off of Splitcoaststampers.com (whom I can't recall). I changed up her idea a little bit to make it my own. The stamp sets used here were "Pun Fun" and "Starring You".

Last but not least we made a gift card holder using the Skinny Tin from Stampin' Up!
On the front we wrapped Urban Garden DSP with Kiwi Kiss that we used the crimper on around the tin. Then we embellished using the Stampin' Up! Sizzix die "Little Leaves ", the oval punch to punch out the "Yummy" stamp set message and also the Martha Green Fern Leaf punch.

On the inside, we embellished using the same die cut and punch and used mini library clips to "hang" the message from. The Sale-a-bration "Yummy" set was used for the scroll work by masking the "a little something for you" (used on the front) message while stamping.

Thanks for looking!
